Indy's Nursery

Indy's nursery is my favorite room in our condo! I love this room mostly because, as soon as I found I was having her, I planned how it would be. How I could make it super comfy and light for her. How it could be cute and girly but also simple. And I mostly dreamed of how I would one day walk in that room and pick her up from her crib! I spent so many days in that room before she was born. I would sit in there by myself and think about what she would look like and how we would be best friends. I wrote in her journal in there with her kicking all around in my belly. Her room made me feel even closer to her even when she was still inside me.

Now that she is out I love that room even more because she fills it and it fits her perfectly. The first couple of weeks were very challenging, she was very fussy and hard to calm. I would go in her room and bounce on the exercise ball and it would calm her down almost always. She would scream all day but if you took her and held her in her room she would stop. She LOVES her room! It's actually kind of funny how much she loves it. Sometimes I feel like she can see angels in there or something.

So it might just be a room but to me it's a lot more because it reminds me of the days I prepared for her arrival and it reminds me of the first few weeks of motherhood because most of it was spent in there with her.

This is my favorite part of her room. My friend Whitney made the watercolor floral painting and I love having her ultrasound pictures on one side and her birth pictures on the other side!

This ribbon backdrop is kind of special because I made it for our wedding! I added a few new ribbons and decided to put it in Indy's room!! I love it! (One day she'll probably pull them all done.. oh well, it's cute for now!)

I love this ultrasound of Indy because it won't ever fade and it's in a cute color that matches her room! I saw this company on instagram and it's something that is so unique!

We love blankets around here! You can never have too many, especially when you spit up on all of them haha

We bought this swing when she was extremely fussy, hoping that it would help... she hated it! and still hates it... hopefully she'll like it one day!

Wes' cousins made this for Indy's room! It's so cute and sweet. They're so talented!

Wes and I made this bow frame for her room months before she was born.. we should have made a bigger one because it's not big enough for all of her bows. I got a little too excited before I had her I guess but she has a lot of options!!

We lather her up just about every night before bed! Love coconut oil and love lavender lotion/oil!

She has more clothes than me! I look like crap all the time but I make sure she always looks cute!

Bought this lamp at Ikea and I love it!! It's like she gets scared in the pitch dark and does not sleep well at all so she needs a little light and this is perfect. I also love this oil diffuser from Doterra. I'm not a huge oil person but I do love lavender oil and the citrus bliss blend.

I made this last November for Indy's room and it's one of my most favorite things. It's something I can add all of my kids to and watch them grow, taking it from house to house.

Indy's birth height!

I can't wait to use these when it's time to teach her her letters, it will be so fun!! And they are the cutest cards ever!

This is my most favorite and special gift to Indy when it comes the time. It's the best thing I could ever give her and the best thing that I bought. I wrote down things from the very start of my pregnancy and it it so fun to write in and also look back on things that I wrote. I'm so glad I wrote things down because memories fade so quickly and it's fun to remember even the small things like cravings and big things like the day she was born! If you need to give someone a shower gift this is awesome!!

Two Months with Indy

Today our sweet Indy is TWO MONTHS old!! and to celebrate she partied hard last night... all. night. long. haha

Two Month Stats:
Head circumference: 15.4 (60th percentile)
Height: 24 Inches (96th percentile)
Weight: 10 pounds even (15th percentile)

Indy is the sweetest, petite, grumpy, smiley and cranky baby. She has so much personality already it's crazy! "She likes what she likes when she likes it." - we say that all the time!!
She is so cuddly and anytime I hold her she nestles her head right in between my neck and shoulder, it's the sweetest thing and makes me feel so loved by her. I can usually calm her down but there's that witching hour every night where she's just pretty sad no matter what :/

Indy has been rolling over for like two weeks now (she can roll over from tummy to back)!
She is so so smiley! If we talk to her in really annoying voices she smiles so much. She has laughed a couple of times, mostly in her sleep hehe

She's had about five blowouts now- mostly because Wes put the diapers on wrong but the last couple were because the diapers were getting too small. She wears size ones now and it was so sad for me!! They looked so huge on her but it was definitely time to put the newborn size away.

She can fit into size 0-3 month clothing!! Yay!! But they're still loose! But at least she is growing and can fit into some of the cute clothes that she has.

Indy's hands are dangerous!! haha she hates being swaddled most of the time because she loves her hands so I don't swaddle her very much anymore. When she sleeps her hands are usually above her head and she wakes herself up by flailing her arms around.

We have a hard time getting her to sleep at night so she usually goes to sleep between 10-12. She sleeps until 4:30 without fail every night to eat and then she goes back to sleep until 6 or 6:30. Still not an all night sleeper but I'll take what I can get! I'm not one to let her cry, I think that's mean and sad and I'm not doing it, it's just not my style of parenting but we'll get where we need to eventually.

We go to her appointment on Friday to find out her stats and she will get her first shots :/ I'm already kind of dreading it! I hate when she's sad!

Indy loves: Being outside, going on walks, taking baths but only if I'm holding her, the sound of running water, when we sing to her, music, lights, clapping,

Indy dislikes: Being inconvenienced in any way, diaper changes (sometimes), 8- 10pm

Indy's nicknames so far: Inders, Inderton, Gogurts, Indy go go, Teen teen, Little d

Abandoned airplanes in Chandler

Walk on the Gilbert Temple grounds!

Sandy was my nurse during my whole labor and delivery! She was the sweetest kindest nurse! I'm so glad I had her because it made the experience a good one. We ran into her at Wes' parents ward our first Sunday back to church.

Dr. Beck is my OB! He delivered Indy! This was at my 6 week check up!

I love nakey baby Indy :)

Fake cries after her bath haha

Her first set of little piggy tails!! So little but so sweet!

Her favorite spot to nap is in the crack of our couch.

Our first Sunday back to church! (Indy was five weeks old here)

Not too sure about bath time

Our first hike with Indy! We went to Water Wheel Falls! It was pretty warm but we made it there and it was so fun! Indy loved the sound of the water and was so good in the car all the way there and back.

He's the best/cutest dad!

We drove to Fountain Hills for Wes' job and to get out of the house one day. We walked around Fountain Hills park. It's always nice to get out and go on walks.

Being Indy's mom is the best and hardest thing I've ever done. It's amazing how much I've learned and how much I have grown because of her. Some days are challenging while others are really fun. I feel like I'm always tired but that will probably last for the rest of my life! It's so fun to see her changing and learning new things. It's fun to see her become more aware of her surroundings and of this strange world. She might be cranky a lot but she is starting to get a lot better! She is learning things very quickly and is so fun to be around. I sure love her and her dad and I really don't know what I would do without her now!
