Five Months with Indy

Five months old!!!

Indy loves: HER DAD!!! looking up at trees, fruits, swimming, lights up when she's around other kids, to be outside, to watch the rain, her toy monkey, teething banana toothbrush, our bed, touching and pulling Wes' hair, her toy bouncer thing, bath time!!, her feet rubbed, dogs and other animals

Indy dislikes: Hated rice cereal at first but now she loves it, CARROTS, the car at night, a little unsure of rain when it touches her but loves to watch it, hates any noise that's even a little bit loud, NAPPING!!!

Fun facts about Indy:

• We've got a teether!!
• She grunts, growls, squeals, squawks at me all day long!!
• Has a little bit of stranger danger
• She can sit up!! (8/5/17)

• Sucks her bottom lip in and smiles sooo big, it's the cutest thing ever.

• Belly laughs
• If we put her on the floor she'll end up somewhere totally different within in minutes.
• Just stares at new people to try and figure them out; will usually cry if they hold her.
• She gets shy and lays her head on me when I'm holding her and people try to talk to her (I LOVE THIS)
• Wanted Peter to win on the Bachelorette... haha ok that was me 
• 7/26/17: First baby pony tail hehe

• Her hair has thinned out a lot but also has gotten longer in other parts
• Her hair looks auburn most days
• Still has big blue eyes
• Snores like us
• SMILES at everything!!
• Sucks on her thumb
• Loves other babies and kids!

• Has found her feet and loves to hold and eat them
• Fascinated by touching my mouth and teeth
• Always fights sleep
• Went to her first splash pad play date! (It got way too hot too quick so we didn't end up staying very long but it was fun to get out and to have her experience something new with other babies)

I don't get in very many pictures these days but when I do it's with her!

I'm not sure what we ever did without her! She lights up our home and brings so much love into it!

Four Months with Indy

Four months old!!! I know I say this every month but wow time has really flown by and especially this last month. It seems like something changes about her everyday. Some days are long and she's super fussy but most days she's pretty happy and we play all day between trying to actually get some stuff done. I realized though to enjoy this time because she's only this little for a little while and I'll never have just one kid to give all of my attention to again. The chores can wait a little and the house doesn't always have to be immaculate. She's such a joy in our home and has added a light that seems to shine through it. People say to wait to have kids but I'm happy I had her when I did. Yeah adding a baby to your life can mix things up a bit sometimes but she adds so much more purpose to my life than I've ever had before.

Four month stats:

Weight: 13 1/2 lbs (25th percentile)

Height: 25 1/4 inches (75th percentile)

Head Circumference: 16 1/2 inches (80th percentile)

June 30, 2016 we found out we were pregnant with Indy!

Indy loves: To facetime Wes, when Wes gets home from work, swimming, being outside, her bouncer, her monkey squeaky toy, being nakey, bath time, US, snuggling with us in the mornings, mornings, her fingers, tummy time, kids and other babies, when I sing "Indy is a child of God", her own voice, looking at herself in the mirror, her bumpo, standing, anything but being on her back, laying on my chest, when Wes talks to her, white noise, when Wes makes weird noises to her

Indy dislikes: Getting splashed in the pool (barely any water hitting her face), the car at night, doesn't like when we leave the room even for a second, when she's on her back, sometimes when people besides us hold her

Fun facts about Indy:

• Indy now has a fake scream that she does all the time! It's kind of bratty but also kind of cute
• She smiles at everyone and everything!!
• She went to her first Diamondbacks game! The crowd behind us loved her and she was so good at the game.

She spit up all over me!!

• She thinks fireworks are mesmerizing. On the Fourth of July she just stared at all the fireworks and started babbling to them.

• She now full on giggles and belly laughs
• She sleeps all night (8-10 hours). She's kind of going through some sort of sleep regression. After I put her to sleep she'll wake up a few times. She usually goes to bed around 9 pm.
• Acts like she's always starving
• She loves laying on my chest. She's kind of made this game where she'll lay on my chest, look up at me real fast then smile and put her face back on my chest. She does this over and over while her fingers are in her mouth as she's babbling and squawking haha
• She wants to be older so bad
• She tries so hard to sit up 
• Only likes being held facing out
• She went to Canyon Lake for the first time

• Rolled over from her back to her belly- June 28, 2017

• We took her to the Tucson Temple open house

• She makes so many noises all the time
• She's finally gaining some weight. You can tell mostly by her thighs and her bum hehe she has a little froggy belly that hangs off to each side when she's on her back. She has the biggest, most contagious smile!! She has Wes' nose, at least for now it looks like that! I think she has my eye shape but she still has deep blue eyes that sometimes look green. She's known for her out of control, crazy hair! It's still a light brown and sometimes looks blonde or auburn in the sun. Her hair has thinned out a bit but has gotten so long in certain areas and in the front she has a cul de sac of missing hair probably from wearing bows.
• She's not the best napper
• Has some baby friends!
