Three Months with Indy

Indy is three months old!!! It's crazy how fast the time has passed. Sometimes the days seem so long but then I look back and another week has come and gone.

Indy's loves: being outside, being held, EATING, going on walks in her stroller, anything that's adultish (I'm convinced the reason she's fussy is because she wants to be able to do more- like sit up, walk.),  the sound of the tub water running,

Indy's dislikes: Being inconvenienced, when Wes makes a loud noise and it scares her, when she gets splashed with even a drop of water

Fun facts about Indy:
She cries in her sleep sometimes and it's the funniest/saddest thing and it doesn't wake her up.

She's never gone swimming but we've dipped her feet in the pool a couple of times and she hates it! Probably because it's still a little too cold.

She's still unsure of bath time. When she's in that bath she has a concerned look on her face and her hands are in the tightest fists. By the end of bath time she'll start to smile though.

When Indy got her two month shots (her first set of shots) she cried so so loud. At first though she held her breath and turned so red, then let out the biggest scream you've ever heard. I want to get her ears pierced soon but I'm so scared because seeing her get shots was so sad and I felt so bad even though I completely for vaccines and know they are beneficial for her health and for others.

When we went to Utah Indy was so good! She loved being outside. She especially loved looking at the trees. I imagine she noticed it was different even though she's still so small. Wes held her in the ergo baby carrier and she loved it! I think it helped them bond more.

Indy growls all the time now!! At first I thought it was because she was pooping but now she just does it to do it! I think she's found her voice because she coos and babbles and growls SO much!!

She's still pretty fussy but ever since we came back from Utah she's been so much better. She has so many more happy times and she still fights sleeping but I can usually get her to go down if I rock her. She doesn't usually take long naps, maybe only twenty minutes at a time (sometimes she'll sleep an hour or a little more but that's pretty rare). I think even the short naps are helping with the fussiness though!

When we went to her two month check up, Indy was only ten pounds even. From her birth weight, she really hadn't gained much at all. Her pediatrician told me to still breastfeed but supplement formula after each feeding. When he told me this I felt so discouraged and like I was failing Indy. I asked him how I could fatten my milk up and he said I could go eat three cheese burgers right now and it wouldn't change my milk. I also felt really judged by other moms but now I don't give a crap what any of them think. I'm Indy's advocate and if some formula along with breast milk will help her gain weight then that's what I'm going to do! I'm always looking out for her best interest. I've had to take her in each week to get weighed and she still isn't gaining very much. She's up to ten pounds fourteen ounces! She's gaining some but is still small but at least she's gaining some!

Indy smiles so much now! She reacts to our faces and the noises we make and it's so cute.

I have to clean Indy's neck a lot because milk drips down and dries in the cracks of her neck haha
She may be tiny but she still has rolls!!

She goes to bed at 9:45 every night and walks up usually at 5:15. Whenever she goes to bed earlier she walks up in the middle of the night. We're still trying to get her on a better schedule but I'll definitely take this for now!

Hated her first pool experience!!

Her hair is insane! I try to comb it and do it certain ways but within minutes it always ends up back to this haha

Probably my favorite picture of Indy of all time.

Little monkey in her jammies haha

Indy's Six Week Pictures

I won a photo giveaway and decided to use it for her newborn pictures. Pictures are one of my favorite things because I love to look back on them. I can't wait to show Indy all the pictures we have of her someday!
These were taken when Indy was only six weeks old! She was so teeny! I miss those days so much.
